The Conco Companies is providing multiple commercial concrete services for a new high-rise tower in Oakland’s Uptown district. Services provided include concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, shotcrete, and Confoam services. Additionally, 11,000,000 pounds of rebar and post-tension reinforcement will be installed.

The 24^th and Harrison tower will feature over 400 premium apartments and 60,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and restaurant space. When completed, currently slated for 2021, the tower will offer residents many amenities including a pool, fitness pavilion and sky lounge. Additionally, the tower is located less than a half-mile walk to BART. The new tower will be a cultural highlight providing a new residential corridor with an artistic appeal.

The scope of work involves pouring approximately 47,700 cubic yards of concrete, shotcrete and Confoam for the tower. The project is targeting a LEED Silver certification when completed in 2021.

The Waymark is located at Pringle Avenue & North Carolina Boulevard. Services provided include concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, shotcrete, and Confoam.

The Waymark is a 703,857 square foot four-story mixed-use building and will include both ground floor commercial retail and amenity space. The project is being constructed in two phases. Phase One will comprise approximately 15,000 square feet of retail space and 358 residential units. The residential units will range from studio up to 3-bedroom apartments. Phase Two will begin once Phase One is complete. Phase Two will be located on the corner of North California and Ygnacio Valley. It will feature approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space and 238 residential units. Once complete, this contemporary building will provide residents access to public transportation services and easy access to Interstate 680 and Highway 24.

Throughout the construction process, Conco estimates over 23,000 cubic yards of concrete to be placed, as well as shotcrete and Confoam. Conco will also be responsible for providing 4,200,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement.

575 Benton is a new mixed-use building project in Santa Clara. The Conco Companies has been contracted to provide a host of commercial concrete services. Services provided include concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, shotcrete, and Confoam services. Additionally, 3,250,000 pounds of rebar and post-tension reinforcement will be installed by Conco.

Utilizing approximately 5 acres land, the 575 Benton project will be six-story residential / commercial mixed-use building. It will include approximately 22,000 square feet of retail space and 355 luxury rental apartments. A new 7 Level parking garage provide 650 parking stalls.

When completed the building will offer residents a pet spa area, bike amenity space, a roof deck, club room and three private courtyards. There will also be a public courtyard facing The Alameda.

The scope of work involves pouring approximately 19,960 cubic yards of concrete, shotcrete and Confoam for the building.

While the Healthcare District of Denver is home to a constellation of hospitals and healthcare facilities, it is also a bustling area featuring restaurants, retail stores, businesses, and soon, two new high-end multi-family residential buildings. The Broadstone Uptown project will make use of a currently empty lot at the corner of 18th and Marion Street and will bring much needed residential units to the growing city. The project brings together local architects, engineers, and commercial concrete contractors in Denver and promises to introduce over two hundred studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments to the neighborhood, as well as below grade parking for each of the two buildings.

Denver has experienced a huge boom in its population over the past several years, and city officials and local developers have worked diligently to answer the call for more housing. In 2018, reports concluded that Denver needed 32,000 new units to keep pace with the city’s rapid growth, and as a result construction cranes and newly erected high-rise multi-family residential buildings have become ubiquitous features of the cityscape. The Broadstone Uptown project will be a welcome addition to Denver’s housing stock and is slated to begin construction in July 2019.

The development team for The Broadstone Uptown project includes PR III Broadstone Uptown Developers, Enayat Schneider Smith Engineering, and Shear Adkins Rockmore Architects who designed the nearly identical, adjacent nine-story residential buildings. Conco worked closely with these teams for over a year in the planning phase and won the contract for concrete services due to the strong working relationships built in that process and Conco’s competitive pricing. Conco is known for keeping large scale projects on time and budget, two necessary characteristics in the race to build more residential units in Denver. The scope of work for Conco’s turnkey structural concrete services include mat slab foundations, slab on grade, shotcrete foundation walls, cast-in-place columns, elevator and stair core walls in two locations in each building, elevated post-tensioned structural slabs and Epicore topping slabs for the cast-in-place rooftop slabs. Conco will be partnering with a local subcontractor to provide Denver concrete pumping and placing, reinforcing, formwork, and finishing as well as construction trucking.
