The Conco Companies are providing concrete services for the Kinects Tower, a new mixed-use 41-story high-rise currently under construction in the Denny Triangle area of Seattle, WA. The project is being developed by Security Properties, and is designed by Bumgardner, a Seattle based architectural firm. The building has already received at least LEED Silver Certification. Once complete the 500,000 sq. ft. high-rise tower will consist of 356 multi-family units varying from traditional studios to luxury penthouse suites located on the top two floors as well as 4,658 sq. ft. of retail space on the ground level.

Conco’s responsibilities include constructing four levels of below grade parking and five levels above to provide the building with 316 parking stalls. Working 16 hours straight, we recently completed the 6,000 cubic yard concrete pour for the 145’x120’x9′ and just over 500,000 sq. ft. size PT slab that was reinforced with 850,000 lbs. of rebar.

We are proud to report that we received positive feedback from the City of Seattle’s DOT. They have told us this was the best-coordinated and smoothest run mat pour that they can remember. During the course of the project, Conco will place 30,470 cubic yards of concrete, 3,106 tons of rebar and 671,500 l. ft. of PT cable.

The Conco Companies were awarded the complete turn-key structural concrete package for The Main Street Gateway, a mixed-use project in downtown Bellevue, WA. Conco brings extensive experience to the project and will provide the pumping, place and finish, shotcrete, and formwork along with supplying the reinforcement. We recently poured the structural slabs in early July. Cadman Inc. is supplying all of the ready-mix for us, and the reinforcing will be installed by RPM. The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2016.

Once complete, The Main Street Gateway, a venture from the Wolff Co., will have about 350 residential units along with the associated community spaces. At street level, the building will offer approximately 14,600 sq. ft. of retail space and 11,000 sq. ft. of restaurant space. The project includes underground parking for about 600 vehicles and will also have several electric vehicle charging stalls. In addition there will be secure bicycle storage slots.
