Lenora Street and Boren Avenue in downtown Seattle is the site for Holland Residential’s new 44-story tower, Boren Tower. Boren Tower is a mixed-use project that features residential, performing arts space, office space, and below-grade parking.

The Conco Companies poured a mat slab in January 2020, consisting of a monolithic base mat pour of 5,920cy with an additional upper mat slab pour of 730cy. The crew utilized three pumps to pour the concrete. Cadman supplied the readymix, averaging 348 yards per hour for the pour, with a maximum output of 463cy per hour. Conco Reinforcing supplied over 1.5 million pounds of rebar for the mat, installed by RPM.

The Conco Companies is partnering with Holland Residential throughout the planning and execution phases of the project due to our solid working relationship, reliable services, and competitive bids. The scope of work includes a mat slab foundation, shotcrete, foundation walls, columns, stair and elevator core walls, post-tension structural slabs, and topping slabs. In addition, we will also provide pumping and placing, reinforcing, formwork, and finishing as well as construction trucking.

Hotel-Indigo-1280x960.jpg

Over the past several years The Waterfront Vancouver has experienced an expansive revitalization, bringing in multiple office, retail, and residential buildings. Located on Block 4 of the development, Hotel Indigo and Kirkland Tower will be the sixth and seventh towers to go up along the riverside and will be the largest to date in the development. At a cost of $100 million, the Hotel Indigo and Kirkland Tower project will add an eight-story hotel, a 12-story condominium, four restaurants, and 17,000 square feet of retail space to The Waterfront Vancouver.

The development company and general contractor worked with the Conco Companies to provide concrete services due to Conco’s ability to perform large scale work in a timely manner – skills that are paramount for the massive size and investment of the Indigo Hotel and Kirkland Tower project. Since August 2018, Conco has provided concrete pumping and finishing, concrete reinforcement, concrete formwork, and shotcrete services. With the target top-out date of mid-October 2019, Conco is completing one deck pour every 4-5 days, with each deck up to Level 8 requiring three pours. In addition to the mat foundation and decks, Conco will also complete two concrete stair cores and an elevator core to round out their work on the project.
