The Conco Companies is providing a full range of concrete services on Phase II of the Santa Clara Square Project (Buildings 3-5) for the Newport Beach based owner/developer, the Irvine Company. The entire project consists of 1,763 residential units within 7 separate, 5-story buildings, all wrapped with concrete garage structures and a central promenade that includes approximately 40,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Conco was awarded Phase II of the project which is 3 of the 7 buildings (861 of the residential units) and wrapped parking structures for a total of 642,886 sq. ft. The Santa Square Buildings are located between Scott Blvd & Augustine Drive from Octavius Drive to Main Street in Santa Clara, CA.
Conco’s responsibilities on this project include providing concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, and shotcrete services. For the project, we expect to place 22,700 cubic yards of concrete as well as shotcrete. We are also providing 3,100,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement. Conco crews began work on the project in October 2017 and we will finish up our end of the project in August 2018. The complex expects to receive LEED Gold certification for its environmental sustainability.
