Alta Buena Vista – Warehouse 48 is a new waterfront development in Alameda, CA. Conco’s preparing our tools and equipment to provide concrete services including concrete pumping, concrete reinforcement, concrete formwork, concrete finishing, shotcrete, and ConFoam. Conco expects to place 16,000 cubic yards of concrete, including 2,700,000 pounds of rebar and post-tension reinforcement. 

Originally a Del Monte warehouse, this project would revive it as a mixed-used building with 19,000 SF of retail space, 362 residential units, and 505 parking stalls. This will be encompassed within 4 stories on top of 1-story parking with a design paying homage to Alameda’s colorful history as The Island City. The residential unit floor plans will include studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, and 2- and 3-bedroom townhomes.

Expected to be completed by early 2022, Alta Buena Vista – Warehouse 48 will provide residents a home close to employment centers, with a blend of small island and Bay Area life. Conco’s decades of experience will lend to another successful project gracing the skyline.

Conco is partnering with Signature Development Group to complete Parcel G of the Brooklyn Basin project, a new waterfront development located in Oakland, CA that will be about 64 acres large. We’re also partnering with Hawk Development, TCA Architects, and KPW Structural Engineers, Inc to accomplish this major project.

To bring this massive project into fruition, Conco will provide concrete services including concrete pumping, concrete reinforcement, concrete formwork, concrete finishing, shotcrete, and Confoam. Conco estimates we’ll place about 17,000 cubic yards of concrete, as well as shotcrete and Confoam, and about 2,800,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement.

Parcel G of the project will be 8-stories tall, with the bottom 3 levels for garage parking and the top 5 levels for residential units. The first 2 levels of the garage will serve 45,957 SF of retail and public space, with the 3rd level providing parking for 356 residential units with 480 parking stalls. Overall, the project will create 3,100 residential units, which include 465 affordable homes, 30 acres of public parks, and a shopping district around the marina.

Brooklyn Basin will give Oakland and the Bay Area a new neighborhood that will create 10,000 new jobs, a new connection to the Bay Trail network, and eventually pedestrian, bike, and public transit pathways to Lake Merrit. As one of the larger projects Conco has worked on, we’re excited to watch the project develop from the ground up.

AMCAL – 6701 Shellmound St. - Bayview Apartments

Conco is providing complete concrete services for the 6701 Shellmound St. – Bayview Apartments project located at Shellmound Street and 67th Street. It is a new development located along the waterfront in Emeryville, CA and will stand at 7 stories tall. The upper 5 levels will contain 186 residential units, and the lower 2 levels will be for parking with 245 stalls for cars and about 225 stalls for bicycle parking.  

Our services will include concrete pumping, concrete reinforcement, concrete formwork, concrete finishing, shotcrete, and Confoam services. In total, Conco expects to place 11,000 cubic yards of concrete, shotcrete, and Confoam, along with 1,600,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement. Also assisting with construction are JS Builders, BDE Architecture, and KPFF Consulting Engineers.

When completed, the Bayview Apartments will boast multiple amenities, including a fitness room; dog spa and bike spa; landscaped common rooms and plazas; and a lobby and leasing room. Its residential units will include studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floorplans.

The Enso Village Project is a new 220-unit senior independent living facility that promotes mindful aging through the joys of environmental stewardship and appreciation of nature. It’s also the first senior living startup to be approved for “Green Bonds,” which distinguishes the project as a sustainable investment. The anticipation for this project is high, as 94% of reservations were made by prospective residents within a few months. 

Conco will be servicing the concrete pumping, concrete reinforcement, concrete formwork, concrete finishing, shotcrete, and Confoam services. Throughout the duration of the build process, Conco expects to place 17,000 cubic yards of concrete, shotcrete, and Confoam, including 2,800,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement.

This environmentally-conscious community will contain studios, 2-bedroom units, 24 memory care units, and 30 assisted living units. Its amenities include a community room, bistro with vegetarian offerings, maker studio, salon, physical therapy clinic, guestroom, tearoom, clubroom, mail room, and wellness center. The community will also boast a restaurant and an indoor pool with a sundeck. This includes a 4-level dwelling, with 1 subgrade level of 289 parking stalls for tenants only.

The Enso Village will have seven buildings inspired by barn aesthetics, and will honor the area’s countryside roots with natural colors and rustic materials. There will also be a farming area for residents to practice mindfulness while tending and harvesting. Conco is excited to help create this Zen-inspired community, providing a thoughtful home for its future residents. It is expected to be completed in 2023.

UC-Davis-Orchard-Park-Student-Housing-1.jpeg

Conco is assisting with the redevelopment of the UC Davis Orchard Park Student Housing Project, located between Russell Blvd and Orchard Park Drive. Originally built in 1964, Orchard Park provided students with families housing. In 2015, the facility was closed for redevelopment. Currently in construction, Orchard Park is expected to reopen to residents in September 2023.

The full student housing project consists of 11 residential buildings, which include graduate student commons, family commons, a mail & package delivery center, and a maintenance building. The residential buildings are 4-story with slab on grade, and all other ancillary buildings are designed to be 1-story.

Orchard Park will have approximately 613 units holding a total of up to 1,549 beds, with the single graduate units leased by bed, and the family units leased by unit. The bed and units break down into about 189 2-bedroom family units and 1,108 graduate beds. Both family and graduate communities will have meeting space, communal kitchens, an exercise room, and flex space. The graduate community will have communal laundry units on each floor, while the family community will have in-unit washers and dryers. Additionally, the family community will have indoor and outdoor play areas for children.

As for parking solutions, Orchard Park is designed to be bicycle-oriented with focus on alternative transportation. On-site parking will be first priority for the family community, with nearby off-site parking.

Conco’s role is to provide complete concrete services including concrete pumping, concrete reinforcement, concrete formwork, concrete finishing, and shotcrete. We expect to place 8,300 cubic yards of concrete and shotcrete, and 700,000 pounds of reinforcing bar.
