The Conco Companies is pleased to announce that we have recently opened a new office in Portland, OR. For many years, we have provided service to the Portland area from our facilities in Kent, WA. Our newest location will allow us to better service the Portland market and the growing number of projects for which we provide concrete services.

Conco is currently working on several large projects around the city including two mixed-use high-rises, the Modera Glisan and 14th & Glisan. By establishing a full-time presence in Portland, Conco looks forward to forging new relationships for future projects.

ASA Awards Gala -Bob French- Conco Companies The American Subcontractors Association of Southern California has recently recognized The Conco Companies as one of the three finalists for Subcontractors of the year Award, and has also recognized Mr. Bob French as one of the three finalists for Superintendent of the Year Award at ASA’s seventeenth Gala Award dinner held on November 17, 2016.

We are very honored to be recipients of these awards, and thank the construction community for their continuous support and trust they have built in our organization.

A special congratulations to Bob French, who has shown great leadership in our industry over the years.

The Conco Companies is proud to announce that the new “LA Federal Court House” project in downtown Los Angeles has won the “2016 Outstanding Achievement and Excellence in Concrete Construction” award presented by the Southern California ACI chapter.

Furthermore, the project has also been selected by the committee to compete at the national level at the 2017 ACI National convention, which will be hosted in Anaheim, CA.

The floating Cube

The project, also called by the Angelinos “The floating Cube” was designed to address the federal government’s blast and set-back requirements, which gives it its unique cantilevered look. We would like to thank our partners at Clark Construction and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill design group for their forward thinking on design, innovation, and coordination needed on this new Los Angeles landmark.

A Meal For Everyone – Los Angeles

As we look ahead to the holiday season, and in the spirit of giving back to our community, The Conco Companies, Southern California Region has held a food drive this year in partnership with the Salvation Army. We are proud to announce that our food drive has collected enough food to help serve meals for over 700 families.

Toys for Tots

In addition, our San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle regions have organized a Toys for Tots toy drive this season.

Rick Parker,former general manager, will now bring his years of experience and extensive knowledge of the industry to focus on field operations in Southern California.

With ten years of experience as a Conco Project Manager, Maizer has a strong background in both structural engineering and construction management. He is intimately familiar with the company’s operations up and down the West Coast and has an exceptional track record and strong work ethic. In concert with the mission and values of The Conco Companies, Maizer is eager to take the lead and is determined to continue the practice of exceeding our clients’ expectations.
