Marin General Hospital
The Conco Companies is providing concrete services for the Marin General Hospital Project, a 260,000 sq. ft., 4-story replacement building with 114 private rooms and 6 new operating suites. The project is being developed by the owner, Marin Health Care District. Conco was selected for the project in part due to our longstanding relationship with the general contractor, McCarthy Building Co. who is familiar with our prior experience on hospital projects and our understanding and commitment to this project.
Conco first began work on the project in February 2017 and we expect to complete our part of the job by July of 2018. The special challenges of the hospital replacement project entail constructing an OSHPD project that when complete, will meet or exceed the latest state-mandated standards for earthquake safety. It is also being constructed as a best-practices environment – an updated hospital with the ability to improve patient outcomes. The new building will be open to patients in 2020 and will meet LEED Silver standards.
