Highway 680 CRCP, Pleasanton, CA
On the weekend of September 21st, Gonsalves & Santucci Inc. dba Conco kicked off an exciting milestone—the 1st of 3 phases of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Paving (CRCP) installation for our partners at Vanguard Construction on the bustling Highway 680 in Pleasanton, CA.
Our amazing crews worked tirelessly, placing nearly 550,000 lbs of rebar in just 15 hours, from 8 a.m. to midnight. This intense effort resulted in nearly 6,500 linear feet of rebar being placed by Conco and 4,400 yards of top-quality concrete placed by Vanguard for Phase 1. It was the first time that all the Field Ironworkers in Northern California were together in one place at one time working on one job in recent memory. It took this massive effort to place the 15 loads of rebar that were delivered to the jobsite.
A massive shout out to our incredible Conco Team for their seamless coordination, hard work, and unwavering commitment to safety! Job well done!
