Parking Structure and Office Space for Southport on Lake Washington Development
The Conco Companies is providing concrete services for the parking structure and office space at Southport on Lake Washington adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Southport hotel. Situated on the south shore of Lake Washington, the waterfront property is a mixed-use development that will consist of the three, 9-story buildings totaling 728,769 square feet of Class “A” office space and the 347-room hotel. The new construction is in addition to the 383-units of luxury, multifamily housing that was completed in 2008.
Off-site road improvements and utility work began in January of 2015, and construction started in January 2016. Office space will be available for occupancy in 2018. The project is being developed by the Washington based company, SECO Development, INC. Project’s architect is ZGF Architects LLP, a design firm that focuses on architecture, interior design, and urban design. The general contractor is Exxel Pacific, a leading West Coast commercial construction company.
The parking structure for the hotel and office towers will provide approximately 2,120 structured parking spaces to give the complex a parking ratio of 2.7/1,000 usable square feet. Each of the buildings will have dedicated access to the parking structure from the podium lobbies.
The Southport development is in Renton, Washington, and is strategically positioned between Seattle and Bellevue as well as centrally located to the area’s largest high-tech employers in Greater Seattle. It offers direct access to Interstate 405, and is minutes away from the I-5, I-90 and SR-900. Furthermore, the Seattle International Airport is just a quick 10-minute drive. Once the project is complete, it will feature four restaurants and first floor retail space and is within walking distance of an additional 31 restaurants and 43 retail shops.
