Shotcrete

Overview

Conco operates several crews that are capable of providing shotcrete for a wide range of applications including shear walls, retaining walls, architectural walls, slope pavement, soil nailing and more.  We service the needs of contractors whose work must withstand extreme operating environments including chemical plants, gas-fired electrical generators and hydroelectric plants.

Our highly skilled nozzlemen are certified by the American Shotcrete Association and well-versed in the procedures required for high quality work.  We provide our crews with a  fleet of modern, fully outfitted trucks complete with compressors, concrete pumps, hose and scaffolding so that that have the equipment to get the job done right – on time and on budget.

Shotcrete has become an economical alternative to cast-in-place walls.  Some of the advantages to shotcrete versus poured in place include:

  • Less formwork
  • Quicker construction cycle
  • No tie holes to fill
  • Lower water/cement ratio concrete
  • Better controlled finish
  • No need to vibrate
  • Ability to offer a variety of finishes
  • Lower cost

Sculpted Shotcrete

Conco has become a leader in the newly created field of providing sculpted shotcrete solutions.  Our trained sculptors are truly artists that use concrete as their canvas making shotcrete walls with structural integrity that are also aesthetically pleasing.  Examples of the work that is possible with sculpted shotcrete are:

  • Incorporating a mural into a concrete wall
  • Creating a shotcrete wall to stop beach erosion that blends into the surrounding environment

The use of sculpted shotcrete is only limited by the imagination.  Let us work with you to turn your next project into a masterpiece.
